Meta Data Deletion Instructions
A business that uses dailybuilt can connect its Meta business assets to create and measure Facebook and Instagram ads from inside the platform. This page explains what we store for that connection and how to have it deleted.
DailyBuilt, Inc. ("DailyBuilt", "we") operates a business software platform at app.dailybuilt.co. A business that uses DailyBuilt (our "Customer") can connect its Meta business assets to DailyBuilt in order to create and measure Facebook and Instagram ads from inside DailyBuilt. This page explains what Meta data we store when that connection is made, and how to have it deleted.
What DailyBuilt stores when a business connects Meta
The connection is made through Facebook Login for Business. When an authorized person at the Customer completes it, DailyBuilt stores, for that Customer's workspace:
- the access token Meta issues for the connection, encrypted at rest;
- the permissions (scopes) Meta reports as granted, and the token's expiry where one applies;
- the Meta business ID associated with the granted assets;
- the ad account ID and account name the Customer selects for advertising;
- connection status and diagnostic information (last sync time, last error message returned by Meta).
Lists of the Customer's available ad accounts and Facebook Pages are read from Meta on demand and shown in the interface; they are not kept as a stored directory. When a Customer creates an ad, DailyBuilt additionally stores that campaign's record: the Page ID used, the linked Instagram business account ID where one is used, the ad's own text, image, budget, currency and targeting settings (location, radius, age range), the Meta object IDs Meta returns for the campaign, ad set, creative and ad, and daily performance metrics for that campaign (spend, impressions, clicks).
DailyBuilt does not receive or store the Facebook password of the person who connects, and does not request or store personal profile content, friend lists, private messages, or any personal data about individuals who see or interact with the Customer's ads. DailyBuilt receives business asset access only.
How to delete it yourself
An owner or admin of the DailyBuilt workspace can remove the connection at any time:
- Sign in at app.dailybuilt.co.
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find Meta and select Disconnect.
Disconnecting revokes the access token with Meta, so DailyBuilt can no longer reach the account, and removes the Meta connection from the workspace. Stored Meta credentials are erased at that point. Campaign records and performance metrics that the Customer created remain in the Customer's own workspace as its business records unless the Customer deletes them or asks us to; see "What this does not delete" below.
Removing the app from Facebook
You can also remove DailyBuilt from the Meta side:
- In Facebook, open Settings & Privacy → Settings.
- Go to Business Integrations (or Apps and Websites).
- Find DailyBuilt and select Remove.
When you remove DailyBuilt this way, Meta sends DailyBuilt a data deletion request for that account. On receiving it, DailyBuilt deletes the associated stored Meta connection data for the affected workspace and returns a confirmation code together with a status URL. Visiting that URL shows the status of the request. Keep the confirmation code if you want to check on the request later.
Requesting deletion by email
If you cannot access the workspace, or you would rather we handle it, email hello@dailybuilt.co with the subject "Meta data deletion request". Tell us the business name and the Meta ad account or Page involved, and the email address associated with the DailyBuilt account, so we can identify the right workspace.
We may need to verify that you are authorized to make the request before acting on it. We complete verified requests within 30 days of receipt and confirm to you in writing when the deletion is done. If we need more time because the request is complex, we will tell you before the 30 days are up and explain why.
What this does not delete
Removing the Meta connection removes DailyBuilt's access to Meta and the Meta connection data described above. It does not delete the Customer's own business records held in DailyBuilt, such as its contacts, bookings, invoices, documents, messages, or other content the Customer created in the platform. Those records are the Customer's data, are governed by the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Data Processing Addendum, and are deleted through the account and data deletion routes described there.
What we delete, and the only things we keep. We delete or irreversibly destroy the Meta access token and every Meta identifier stored on the connection — the Meta business ID, the ad account ID, the Page ID, and the linked Instagram business account ID — within 30 days of a data deletion request or of disconnection, whichever comes first. Where the request reaches us through Meta, we return a confirmation code and a status URL when we act on it. The campaign records a Customer created — including the campaign, ad set, creative and ad object IDs of the Customer's own advertising — are the Customer's business records: they are retained at the Customer's direction and are deleted through the account and data deletion routes described above, not by removing the Meta connection.
After that, the only Meta-derived records we keep are:
- records we are required by law to retain, for the required period and no longer; and
- records from which every Meta identifier has been irreversibly removed, so that they cannot be re-associated with the user, the Page, or the ad account — for example de-identified aggregate campaign performance history.
We do not retain Meta data for any other purpose.
If the Customer is a healthcare organization operating under a Platform Business Associate Agreement, no protected health information is sent to or received from Meta, and this page does not change the parties' obligations under that agreement.
